The players underlined have MLB service time (except Yu Darvish) while the others are minor-leaguers. The vast majority of these young players have minimal experience as they are mostly teenagers playing in the Dominican and Venezuelan Summer Leagues.

Total Players with MLB teams and affiliates = approximately 5475
(21 organizations x 7 teams* x 25 players) + (9 organizations x 8 teams x 25 players)
*Some teams have 2 teams in the Dominican Summer League (Cubs, Mets, Yankees) and a few teams play in the Venezuelan Summer League (Mariners, Phillies, Pirates, Rays, Reds, Tigers) as well. The math tells me that there are 21 organizations with 7 teams and 9 organizations with 8 teams. Most of these Foreign Rookie Summer League teams also have rosters larger than 25 players.
Due to a large participation in Latin America approximately 2% of the players affiliated with a Major League baseball team have a first name that starts with the letter "Y".
