The Growing Diversity of The San Diego Padres

It's refreshing to see the Padres have embraced an increased Latin influence within the organization as evidenced by some of the past signings of young Dominican and Venezuelan talent as well as the expanding Venezuelan contingent on the active roster. This sort of diversity can be great for future free-agent signings when they witness a clubhouse full of players they can relate to. In addition to the south of the border flavor we also have a distinct and traditional Pennsylvania Dutch look:
Brother Chadediah Gaudin, San Diego's Amish representative. Here's to tapping into the rural farmland of Pennsylvania (Chadediah Gaudin, who incidentally, is holding the Natinals to 1 run through 7 innings).

Editor's Note:
Padres versus Nationals 1-1 in the 8th. When the teams have woeful offenses.....does it qualify as a pitchers duel?
